October Meeting

Grey Wolf Recovery in Michigan
Speaker: Brian Roell, MDNR Wolf Coordinator and wildlife biologist. Brian is in charge of all wolf-related activities in Michigan and is also involved in wolf trapping, radio-collaring and surveying.
Mr Roell will present the latest information on grey wolves in Michigan and future concerns with their recovering population.
The meeting will be held at 7:00 pm in Room M-109 at the UW-Marinette.

Lake Noquebay Trail Work Day

Meet at 8:30 am at the south trail head. Bring shovel, wheelbarrow, electric screwdriver. Will be building boardwalks and approaches and hauling gravel.

November Meeting

"Wild Utah": America's Redrock Wilderness.
Speaker: Clayton Daughenbauch, Midwest Field Organizer for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA)
Mr Daughenbaugh will host a multimedia presentation. This slideshow, narrated by Robert Redford, documents citizen efforts to designate public lands in southern Utah's spectacular canyon country as part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. SUWA and its partners in the Utah Wilderness Coalition seek to gain local support for the "Citizens Proposal" to protect wilderness areas in Utah's red rock canyonlands. In conjunction with the slideshow, Mr Daughenbaugh will also give an update on the current status of the Utah wilderness movement.
